As tough and durable as it is, artificial grass and bonfire night generally just don’t mix!
If you’re unsure about whether to host a garden party this year, make sure you read our guide to the do’s and don’ts of bonfire night before you step outside.
DO think carefully about the safety implications involved when it comes to celebrating Bonfire night.
DON’T start a bonfire on an artificial lawn! Best-case scenario, your pristine patch of grass will melt. Worst-case scenario, your entire lawn could catch fire!
DON’T hold any sort of naked flame near artificial grass. That includes sparklers, fireworks and bonfires!
If you have a big garden with a large amount of space between your artificial grass and a safe soil area then DO plan a bonfire…but plan and proceed carefully!
Just because you made a wise investment with artificial grass you DON’T have to forfeit the fun atmosphere of bonfire night completely! If you have an artificial grass lawn you could always celebrate without fire or fireworks.
Take a look at some of our top tips and ideas!
- Invite friends and family round to celebrate with food and drink. With the right atmosphere there won’t be need for a single firework!
- Use brightly coloured decorations to decorate your garden. With the right touches of sparkle and glitter you can create the perfect bonfire inspired backdrop for your party – without a drop of gunpowder in sight!
- Create a party atmosphere with the right playlist and before you know it your guests will have danced the night away without realising there wasn’t a display!
With a little creativity and the right company, the 5th of November can still go off with a bang this year!
